Calibration Services

Metrology Direct has been providing calibration services for the products it sells since starting trading in January 2000. In the summer of 2009 these services were expanded by the setting up of a dedicated Calibration Laboratory, based at the Gloucester head quarters. In October 2010 the facility was accredited by UKAS and now provides UKAS accredited calibration service covering dimensional, electrical and torque calibration. Whilst most calibration work can be undertaken either in-house or on customer sites, Metrology Direct has collaborated with a number of approved subcontractors and these companies will undertake the work that falls outside the current scope. Metrology Direct provides a management role to control this aspect of the overall service offering.

Gauge Management is provided as part of Metrology Direct’s standard calibration service. This is facilitated using the industry proven Gage InSite Commercial Lab software suite provided by IndySoft Inc. All gauges are input into the Gage Insite software on receipt and thereafter a full gauge history is created.

The option of on-line access to calibration certificates is also available from Metrology Direct, using the InSite DataView Browser software. This enables customers to undertake remote database searches and to view, download and print their own certificates on-demand.
